Apple Music Review!!

So now that Apple have released Apple Music I thought I might as well try the free 3-month trial considering that I am well and truly Team Apple!

So first up the design is really good. Simple yet efficient which is exactly what I like. So I haven’t found any faults in that area. So far so good.Screen Shot 2015-07-17 at 12.43.51

So next up is the actual amount of radio stations and there are plenty to choose from no matter what your taste in music is. Starting off at Alternative and finishing down at the bottom with World.Screen Shot 2015-07-17 at 12.45.48Now this is all well and good but I don’t particularly have a style of music that I prefer to listen to. Yes I like Classic Rock, yes I like all the Golden Oldies and yes I reasonably like Pop; but I’m not the kind of person that enjoys listening to just one category of music at a time. This is major downfall of Apple Music for me as my taste in music is very jumbled and doesn’t fall into a strict category.

Also in each station there seems to be a limited number of songs rather than a vast library that fits that station. For example, on the Workout Pop station there are several songs that are just played repeatedly such as ‘Uptown Funk’ ‘Party in the USA’ ‘Lips Are Moving’ and this is something I have been really disappointed by!

I do think that Apple Music is an excellent idea but I believe that it needs further refining and improving in order to be worth the $9.99 a month, as at the minute I will be sticking with the Spotify Premium that comes included with my phone contract (perks of the job) until Apple Music is further improved.

I’m sad to say that for Apple Music I am most definitely not on Team Apple.
