Since being a teenager my life goal has been to be a veterinarian. In recent years, after a rejection from university and increasing student fees, I’m finding it difficult to believe that I will get there (unless of course, I help out an old lady on the street who turns out to be a millionaire and donates me £40,000).
My issue is I’ve been so focused on being a vet that I have absolutely no back up plan and now I have no idea what I want to do with my life.
Anybody else had this issue and has any advice?
Raise your hand if, even in the safest place around, you still manage to leave with an injury.
*raises every limb of my body*
Yes. That’s right. I am well and truly accident prone.
Recently, I left work with two stitches in my leg, a black eye and two broken fingers. So many injuries in such a short space of time. The worst part about it is that I’m a manager and couldn’t leave, and the day just kept worse and more painful as it went on.
Tiny little bump in the road?
Yep, I’m on my ass.
Piece of glass?
Plastic diet coke bottle?
Finger sliced open.
God forbid when we experience snow. I have to stay huddled inside because every excursion out of my door results in slipping and falling and injury.
On of the worst things I did, was on my first day of university, I set myself and a science lab on fire. The best part? I have no idea how I managed it. One second everything was fine, the next there was a distinct smell of burning.
Now nobody wants to be my lab partner, for fear of their life.
Please, leave my a comment below, if you too are like me. I want to know that I’m not alone and then we can compare what the worst thing we’ve done is!!
I know it’s been a while since I have posted anything, so I thought I’d fill you in on what I’ve been doing.
I’ve recently had loads and loads of work to do for university, so I’ve been trying the best I can to fit this in between my two jobs.
I’ve also just had a trial week for another job that is 40 hours a week, but I’m not too bothered about that because it is something that I really want to do.
I’ve been hitting the gym in my time off, trying desperately to get fit because in all honesty I want to improve the quality of my life and also my health.
And then with any extra time I’ve had left over I’ve been catching up with my friends and trying desperately to not get overwhelmed with work, and just chilling out.
So what has everyone else been up to with their lives recently?!
Today I haven’t had any time to do anything at all Christmassy except open my advent calendar.
I have been in university for four hours and work for 16. That is a very long day and I am very tired.
Therefore, this post is going to be very short as I am now curled up in bed, freezing and sleepy.
I’d love to know if any of you guys have done anything Christmassy today (Yes, I know it’s late) and also how any of you bloggers out there can handle education, work and blogging without failing in one or more areas.
Any advice would be so helpful right now as work is getting extremely busy (It is the Christmas period after all) and I really want to keep this Blogdown to Christmas going everyday until Christmas!!
So it’s December 1st and we all know what that means… ADVENT CALENDAR!!
I love opening my advent calendar everyday. December is probably the only month of the year when I know what day of the month it actually is.
For me, December the first is the beginning of Christmas and it means that it’s time to finally start being excited, start decorating and finish of all the shopping!
Why is December 1st important to you?
Yes, that’s right. I am finally back to blogging.
My two full time jobs and university overwhelmed me and I ended up in hospital and really ill. However, I’m out and I’m ready to get back to blogging as it has been something that I have really missed.
So please keep an eye out for new blog updates as I am definitely back on the blogging train.
So, I’ve basically had the same hairstyle my entire life, except from changing from a full fringe to a side fringe. However, recently I’ve been really obsessed with long bobs. (If you follow me on Pinterest you’ll know)
Lily Collins is a particular inspiration for me. Her hair is so shiny and perfect and compliments her completely.
I really like long bobs, but I have a huge fear that I won’t like it once I’ve done it. And once it’s done, it’s done. No going back.
However, I do also love this long hairstyle. So I’m really torn as to what to do.
Please if you have any advice on what I should do, leave me a comment below. It would be such a big help.
